There is not much left in the world that we don’t know about so the mystery and romance that used to surround train travel is not as evident today as it was about a century ago. When it comes to train travel today we have the utmost in terms of luxury and comfort and we can get to some amazing destinations all over the world.
Back in the eighties there was no way that you could start your working day as soon as you started your commute to work. Now when you set off on your train ride you can often see people busying themselves on their laptops aided of course by the free power points dotted in the carriages and Virgin trains even offer free Wi-fi in some circumstances. Most of the time though, Wi-fi will incur some sort of charge unless you are travelling first class.
The quiet cabin where people respect each other’s desire to have a peaceful train journey is often the first filled. In this cabin you can just sit back and relax with a book or get some shut eye without having to listen to people constantly talking or messing with their smart phones.
The biggest reason for choosing to travel by train is because you can just get to wherever you want to go without having to get stressed out in traffic etc; there are many trains with reclining seats which means you can totally relax as you travel. The comfort with which we travel by train has improved so much over the last few decades and we now travel in plush surroundings; we no longer have to sit on hard bench seats. And the best thing of all is that train travel can only get better because there is so much competition out there.

Having an idea of the train timetable is really important when getting to your desired destination on time.
