Caravan Awnings are a useful, if not invaluable, addition to any frequent caravanner's kit. The options that open up to the caravan owner when they have a caravan awning are numerous, meaning the caravan becomes an even better investment.

When considering buying an awning for your caravan, don't think of it as an add-on, rather, look at it in the same way you would treat your garden compared to your house. In the summer, the garden becomes another room because it is your private space extending the overall space of your home. And similarly, an awning helps to do this for your caravan. Although you don't then own the space, the awning is a useful territory marker, and you will find people keep a distance from your van, allowing you more privacy when sat outside it.

And, if you want to take this comparison even further, you can buy awnings with sides which fasten down, giving you a whole new space. This is extremely useful if you have things you will want to store during the night, children's inflatable toys perhaps, or dirty wellies.
Camping Food That Is Fun And Easy To Make
You would think that choosing camping food to bring would be as easy as saying "I'll take what I like to eat at home" .....

Thus, by simply erecting your awning, you have created a garden, a home away from home, a place to eat your meals and, of course, somewhere to dry your washing! And although you could do all of this without an awning, the space would not feel so private - it would be more akin to pegging out your smalls in the street!

Of course, the awning has many practical uses as well as a psychological one. The main advantage is the weather. If you are sat outside, perhaps eating a bacon sandwich for breakfast, and you feel a few spots of rain, you may not want to move inside the cramped caravan, especially if it is still hot. With an awning there is no need, you can sit, in quite a cosy fashion, and watch the rain fall from the safety of the awning.
What Makes Zambia Safari Unique?
Zambia is Africas best kept secret. It is the sleeping giant of African safari. Its also the friendly .....

Conversely, if the weather is good, and it is all getting too much, the awning can provide vital shade. This is particularly important if you have small children, They may not want to come into the caravan, but with the sun beating down and no awning, you would have little choice if you wanted to prevent them getting sunstroke. So an awning provides the perfect happy medium, the youngsters get to play outside, but you are content that they are not getting burnt. The shade is useful for everyone, of course, even if you are just taking a break from the sun and enjoying a drink.

Eating al fresco is one of the joys of life, but not if pesky flies get on the food. If you have an awning, you can put the food on a table underneath it, and it will certainly help to reduce the number of insects that land on your meal, if not eradicate them altogether. You can buy awnings to fit all sizes of caravan, and many different types of awning for each model. One thing you will find though, is, if looked after, your caravan awning will be strong and sturdy and serve you well.
