Think very carefully before taking this tent camping,
Cheap and nasty. For camping, this tent is best avoided. (We were camping in a campsite in the South of France in Summer, so not exactly a demanding environment.)
The good news…
This tent is roomy, and you can stand up in the centre part of it close to the central pole, and that is the advantage of the wigwam/tepee type of tent. But it would not, in my opinion sleep eight people with an acceptable degree of comfort. You could put four or five people and their gear in it pretty comfortably.
The bad news…
The tent is a single skin type so has no inner tent to deal with condensation. The canvas seams are not taped or sealed. It has no “tub” so the ground sheet meets the walls at ground level and those seams are not taped, and so are not water proof.
The issue we had with the tent was that when confronted with what was a short bout of very heavy rain, it leaked like a sieve. The rain came through the centre top hole where the main pole pokes through the canvas, through the zips in the three windows, and through the seams. There are lots of seams in this tent. Our bedding, much of our clothing, food and equipment were soaked.
This was made worse by it partially collapsing and losing its shape. The two other tents in our group were of different make and did better. My friends £23 eurohike tent performed best and didn’t leak at all. A few days later when it rained again, gently, for a couple of hours, our tent leaked again, but less so.
The tent is also poorly constructed. The central ring, into which the top of the tent pole is put, came off. This is a crucial part of the tent as without it the tent simply cannot be put up. The tent bag split on day two. When the tent bag splits you know you are probably in trouble with the tent.
One thing which puzzled me was that there were no spare tent pegs supplied. For a tent which is entirely reliant on being fully pegged out, this was surprising, as the loss of even just one peg would mean that the tent could not be put up properly. The feeling I was left with was that the tent, in its design and manufacture was extremely cheap.
When the sun comes out, the temperature in the tent quickly becomes unbearably hot, so I am struggling to think of an alternative use for this tent, as use in the garden as a shelter is not practical. I certainly would not risk taking it camping again for any kind of camping.
